Hazzan Steven Hevenstone

I am the Hazzan at North Shore Synagogue in Syosset, NY. I have been here since July of 2023 and am part of an amazing team of professionals. I am a trained musician who plays several instruments. I am also a composer of secular and worship music, solo and choral. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business and a Master's Degree in Education. I received my Cantorial Investiture through CICA (Cantorial Interns of the Cantors Assembly) and am proud to be a member of the Cantors Assembly. I have served on the Cantors Assembly Executive Council and have been involved with the USCJ Task-Force on Covid-19 on utilizing Virtual Resources for Services. I am also on the Board of the Guild of Temple Musicians (GTM). I am happily Married to Kathy and have two sons, Nathan & Aaron.
